What’s up Guys!

Welcome to a belated Weekly Update!

This week kicked of with the continuation of Halo 2 with Sacred Icon, where the Arbiter is tasked with retrieving the Index, the key to firing the Halo ring. To get to it, he must first pass through the Sentinel Wall, a safeguard for the Library, which houses the index. However it is more than just Sentinels he must face as the Flood have infested the area. with the help of a few Grunts and Jackals he finds along the way the Arbiter must journey to the other side of the wall.

After that Operation: Coastline: Episode 3: Interrogation after over a months work, was finally released. in this episode, Hardy and McCowan bring back the Elite to Outpost C-9 for questioning, but when they try for days and get nothing they ask Col. Shore if he can be transferred to a high security facility, which is approved. The two then get the Elite and leave for the facility, codename; Stand Off. Meanwhile in New Mombasa two ODST’s encounter a group of Covenant and they go head to head before realising they need to leave the city before it becomes overrun. On the Aegis Fate Col. Shore meets with Major Ortega from ONI and discuss the the Covenants plans with New Mombasa.

Towards the later half of the week, VPMaps: Episode 20 was out and looked at the small, multi-tiered map, Atrium. The map features 3 tiers each with their own power weapon in the centre and platforms around the edges and leading into the middle.

Also, Halo 3: ODST continued with the level Uplift Reserve. After Rookie finds Dares helmet, he goes in search for more clues about his squads whereabouts, He comes across and UAV Drone’s camera which causes a flashback of what happened to Dutch when he landed. 30 mins after drop Dutch lands in New Mombasa’s nature reserve which is now filled with Covenant. After grouping up with some marines, he gets new orders to go through the reserve and try to clear of Covenant and help marines, before trying to secure the former landing site of Regrets carrier, But before he can, Orbital Elevator collapses and forces Dutch to exit the reserve back into the city.

As the week drew to a close, Minecraft popped into frame and Minecraft: The Guide to Survival: Episode 3 was released where I showed you how to get materials by mining and craft better tools from Iron and made sheers to get wool. I also explored my surroundings a bit.

So, on to next week.

At the start of the week Halo 2 with continue with the level Quarantine Zone, where Arbiter meets up with his fellow elites and embarks on a journey of vehicular combat with the Flood through to the Library’s entrance. Once there, he then enters a gondola with a group of elites and a phantom for support, which he rides to the Library itself before learing a terrible truth. After that VPMaps: Episode 21 will be out and will look at another map feature. Near the end of the week ODST’s Campaign will continue with Kizingo Boulevard, where Mickey must group up with some marines and, using a Scorpion tank, blast through Covenant armour and help the marines before running into a friendly face. Minecraft: The Guide to Survival Episode 3 will also be out at the end of the week.

As for Operation: Coastline, I am continuing with it and will have an update for you soon.

So that’s all for this week!

P.S Sorry its late!

What’s up, guys!

Welcome to another look at past events and ones to come!

This week started, as usual, with the continuation of Halo 2, in the form of the level Regret. Starting from where Delta Halo left off, Master Chief has found where the Prophet of Regret is and, with the help of some Marines and extra weapons, will go there. Using a series of gondolas and underwater elevators, he will mop up any Covenant in his way and put the Prophet to justice.

Towards the end of the week, VPMaps Episode 19 was released and focused on the very small, multi-layered map, Edifice. The map was a quick build, but I was satisfied with the result and even though it was so small I felt that the multiple rooms and levels compensated for the overall size.

After that, I begun a new campaign playthrough of Halo 3: ODSTs campaign. Halo 3: ODST starts just after the level Metropolis in Halo 2 and is from the perspective of a squad of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers who drop into the city of New Mombasa to try and stop the Covenant, but everything changes when the Prophet of Regret performs a slipspace jump nearly destroying the city and scattering the squad. Now one member of the squad, the Rookie, must look for clue to find his squads whereabouts and see the other squad members journeys from their point of view. This week I uploaded the first part of the campaign. the first bit was the introductory level, Prepare to Drop, where  we meet the Rookie and the ODST squad get ready to drop down into the city before it all goes wrong. After that, I also uploaded the first mission, Tayari Plaza, where the Rookie wakes up 6 hours after the drop and goes in search for his squad, after coming across Veronica Dares helmet we see a flashback and take control of Gunnery Sergeant Buck. He crashes in his pod immediately after drop and goes to find Dare who has crashed nearby. However the Covenant are hot on their tails and Buck must push through to get to Dare before the Covenant do.

Finally, I uploaded the first episode of my new Minecraft series, The Guide to Survival, where I show new and experienced players alike how I survive the world of Minecraft and show the ropes to beginners. In the first episode I show you how to survive you first night and how to craft, mine and cook food among other basic things.

On to next week!

At the beginning of next week I will continue with Halo 2’s campaign with the level, Sacred Icon, where the Arbiter must retrieve the Index from Installation 05’s Library  and must cross the Sentinel wall and surrounding area before he can get inside, After that VPMaps Episode 20 will be out looking at another competitive map. Then, towards the end of the week, Halo 3: ODST will continue with the 2nd level, where the Rookies clue flashes us back to Dutch, who has landed in the Uplift Reserve, a wildlife park which is filled with Covenant. After that, The Guide to Survival episode  will be out where I show more on how I survive in Minecraft.

Talking about next week has brought me onto another subject, which is that of Operation: Coastline. I am pleased to say that I finished production of episode 3 and it will be out Tuesday. So look out on my channel then and check out episode 1 and 2 here.

So that’s all for this week!

Hello Guys!

Welcome to another update!

Last week started with map fly through’s of the new Castle Map Pack maps. There are three new maps in the pack, Perdition, Daybreak and Outcast and each fly through shows the main points of the map.

Also at the week, the continuation of my play through of the Halo 2 Campaign. Delta Halo was the level this week, where the Master Chief and the crew of the UNSC In Amber Clad arrived through the Prophet of Regrets Slipspace portal, to find another Halo ring. The prophet heads to the surface of the ring and the Chief along with Johnson and ODST’s and Marines head down to the surface to track down the Prophet.

Later in the week VPMaps episode 18 came out and looked at the large, BTB and Infinity Slayer map, Pike. Pike is symmetrical with two main bases on each side and four smaller ones, two for each base. The bases are separated by a large canyon which is C shaped and offers and interesting space for combat. the map has many vehicles and several main power weapons.

After that, I continued my play though of Halo 3 and this week was its last level, Halo. In the final level of Halo 3, Chief, Cortana and Arbiter head to the newly launched Halo ring to take the index, that Cortana provided, and try to light the ring and wipe out the Flood for good. With the aid of Sgt. Johnson, they head to the control room killing all Flood that stand in their way, then the must escape after activating the ring, but it is not without sacrifice…

Onward to next week!

Early in the week, Halo 2 will continue with the level Regret, where Master Chief has found the Prophets location and must go there to stop the Prophets plans. Next up VPMaps episode 19 will be released looking at the small multilevel map, Edifice. Later in the week, due to Halo 3’s campaign ending, I will be starting a new one, in the form of Halo 3: ODST, the story of a squad of ODST’s who were sent into New Mombasa before the slipspace event and portrays each squad members story as the squad try to regroup in the dark, Covenant infested city. The first part of the Campaign will be out, which will include Prepare to Drop and Tayari Plaza, where the ODST’s first drop and one member of the squads awakens and starts to try to find the rest of the squad. Also, because the Legend of Toes has finished too, I will be starting another Minecraft series with just me this time. It will be a series of 10-15 minute videos which basically teaches new Minecraft players how to survive and offers more experienced players some tips and shows them how I survive when playing Survival. So, Mincecraft: The Guide to Survival: Episode 1 will be out at the end of next week.
In terms of Operation: Coastline all the footage is filmed and now all that needs doing is editing footage, music and voice, but I will tell you more on Tuesday.

So that’s whats happened and what is happening!

Hello All!

Welcome to another recap of the week!

At the beginning of the week, I continued with my play through of Halo 2’s campaign with the level, The Oracle. In this level The Arbiter and his elites must continue their search for the Heretic Leader, whoever the heretics have released the Flood, a parasitic life form which infects all sentient life. Arbiter must continue through the station fighting the Flood and the Heretics until Arbiter can catch the leader and finish him off.

Mid-week VPMaps and Halo 3 play through switched slots due to time constraints.
In Halo 3, I continued with the level Cortana, where Master Chief must journey deep into the crashed, Flood infested High Charity, to rescue Cortana, so she can use the Index from the first Halo ring help light the new ring. After rescuing her Master Chief damages the engine core enough to destroy High Charity then with the Arbiters help escape just in time.

After that, VPMaps Episode 17 was released a day late and focused on the map Nombril, which for those who don’t know is the centre hub on a shield which reflects both the layout and shape. Nombril is small and symmetrical with a centre hill and cliffs round the edge.

At the weekend the last episode of The Legend of Toes came out, where Jamie and I finally finish our houses and have a look at each house, the travel to the summit of the Island and say out final goodbyes and we show a retrospective of the Island before and after we settled there.

Well that was last week, what’s in store next week!

At the beginning of the week, to coincide with the release of the Castle Map Pack, I will be doing fly through’s of the maps to show you a basic overview of the new play spaces. After that Halo 2 will continue with Delta Halo. The In Amber Clad along with its crew, arrive with the Prophet of Regrets ship at another Halo Ring and Master Chief goes down to the surface to track down the Prophet. Mid-week VPMaps Episode 18 will be out looking at one of my largest maps, Pike. Near the end of the week the Halo 3 play through continues with its last level Halo, where Master Chief, Cortana and Arbiter must go to the surface of the new Halo and head to its control room to light the ring and end the flood once and for all. As the Legend of Toes is finished I will give the slot a break and find something to fill the gap for the week after. As for Operation: Coastline I will give an update on Tuesday on its production status.

So that’s it for this recap!

Hello everyone!

April fools! But seriously, this actually is a weekly update just one day late!

Happy Easter everyone, I hope you got lots of chocolate and had a great time.

In the week just past, there was the regular batch of videos. At the beginning of the week I continued Halo 2 with the level, The Arbiter, where we take control of the elite, The Arbiter, for the first time. He has been sent to vanquish a heretic uprising and kill there leader in a gas mine by the wreckage of installation 04. The Arbiter, along with grunts and elites, enter the station and kill all heretics in their path until they find the heretic. However he takes to the sky and The Arbiter must follow him to another part of the station where he can finally finish him off.

Next, VPMaps Episode 16 was released which looked at a small symmetrical map called Perigon. The map has 2 main bases and another 2 on the left and right with platforms leading to each base from a central structure. If you know your Halo maps, then it bares similarities to Sanctuary from Halo 2 and Assembly from Halo 3.

Towards the end of the week, I continued with my other campaign walkthrough in Halo 3 with the level, The Covenant. After finding Truth’s position, all UNSC and Elite forces head to the Ark’s control room, where Truth has locked himself inside using shields. To get in, Chief, The Arbiter and Sgt Johnson must lead squads into three towers to disable the shield and stop Truth from firing all the Halo rings. However they find some help from an unusual ally.

At the end of the week Me and Jamie’s adventure is nearing an end in The Legend of Toes Episode 8. The guys finally make good progress making houses. Jamie finishes the main part of his house and begins building an jetty, while I starts on the roof of his new house. Stay tuned next week when we’ll see what the Island of Toes looks like now!

Also as a bonus video this week and due to the release of Forge Islands, I released a special episode of VPMaps showing off the new forge map and showing you some of its features. Check it out here or watch below.

That was last week, now for the next!

At the start of the week Halo 2 will continue, with the level, The Oracle, where The Arbiter continues his search for the heretics and their leader. However, it is more than heretics which stand in their way. Next VPMaps episode 17 will be out mid-week, looking at the small, open map, Pendant, which is my first VPMap to be in forge island. After that Halo 3 will resume with the level, Cortana, where Chief must go into the crashed High Charity to destroy its engine core and try and light the Halo. However he finds more in the Flood Hive than Flood itself. At the end of the week, the last episode of Toes will be out which will show the final stage of Toes and me and Jamie will have a look at how far we’ve come.

So that’s it for this update!

Hello Everyone!

Time for another update to the previous week and the next.

At the start of the week I continued my play through of Halo 2’s campaign. This week it was with the mission Metropolis, where, after reaching the bridge to New Mombasa, Master Chief must try to get to Regrets carrier. However there is still hundreds of Covenant soldiers in his way. Chief and a select group of Marines must head across the bridge using Tanks and Warthogs facing Wraiths, Ghosts and a large number of infantry. After regrouping with some other marines, a Covenant Scarab emerges and Chief must take it out before he can board the carrier. However just after the Scarab is destroyed, the carrier starts to open a slip-space portal and Chief and the marines head back to In Amber Clad and chase the ship through its portal. The resulting shock wave from such a low jump causes huge damage to the city.

Next, VPMaps Episode 15 was uploaded where I looked at a remake of the Halo CE map Wizard and the Halo 2 map Warlock, called Mage. It is very similar to its predecessors, in terms of structure, however weapons are different and obviously some bits of the map are different due to Halo 4’s forge pieces. Although, it was a pleasure to build and I thought it turned out well.

Towards the end of the week, I continued my other campaign play through. For Halo 3, I continued the play through with the mission The Ark. Master Chief, the UNSC and the Elites have gone through the portal on Earth to discover a massive Forerunner installation. Chief must go down to the surface to clear a space for the frigate, Forward Unto Dawn, so reinforcements can be delivered. Chief and UNSC forces must then battle through lines of Wraiths, Ghosts and even a Scarab to get to the Installations Cartographer to find truths location so he can be put to justice.

And finally at the end of the week, Minecraft edged into frame with The Legend of Toes Episode 7. In this episode I continue making good progress with my new house, unlike Jamie how tries to make glass and moans about the dirt under his house. Also someone dies on the Island, watch the episode to find out!

Other than videos, on Tuesday, I put up a special preview of Operation: Coastline Episode 3. This episode, called Interrogation, is a work in progress and I am working on it in between my other videos. Last week I put a preview of the script with some dialogue between a Colonel and an ONI Operative. Check it out here!

Speaking of Operation: Coastline, I said last week that I would begin filming and I am a man of my word. On the weekend I filmed a scene with 2 characters who may or may not be ODST’s, but more news nearer its release.

Next week there will be the usual flurry of videos. At the beginning of the week the Halo 2’s will resume with the level The Arbiter, where we jump into the shoes of the Arbiter for the first time and he must travel to a gas mine and neutralize a heretic. Also VPMaps episode 16 will be out and I will be looking at a small symmetrical map called Perigon, stay tuned for it. Also Halo 3’s campaign will continue with the level, The Covenant where the UNSC and the Elites have found the Prophet of Truth and he has locked himself inside the Arks control room. Master Chief, Sgt. Johnson and the Arbiter must take squads to 3 towers to deactivate the shield and get to the Prophet, however, not all goes to plan… As usual the duo return for the penultimate episode of Toe will be out, stay tuned!

So that’s it for the recap!

Greetings!

Welcome to another weekly recap!

This week started with the continuation of my Halo 2 play through which brings us to the 2nd level of the campaign, Outskirts. In this level Master Chief, after fighting in space, heads down to the Earth’s surface into the besieged city of New Mombasa to dela with the Prophet of Regret. As he arrives the pelican he is in gets shot down by a Covenant Scarab and he must continue his mission from there. Chief, Johnson and other marines heads to a court yard, taking out Covenant on their way and regroup then take out waves of enemies including Hunters and Drones. The group then head to another rendezvous point and Miranda Keyes needs Johnson to deliver heavy vehicles to other squads of Marines. So Chief is left in charge of the marines and he must head through the streets facing snipers and lances of Covenant. He reaches another group of marines, who also were shot down, under fire from the Covenant. They are disposed of an Chief goes to the crash site and kills all the Covenant surrounding it. A Warthog arrives and Master Chief commandeers it and heads down the beach towards the carrier. After gunning down many Covenant positions, he arrives at a highway tunnel and takes out any Covenant inside to prevent them regrouping until he comes to the end of the tunnel where he must then deal with a bigger threat.

This week there was no video on Tuesday as I have something new planned which I will talk about later.

Mid-week, VPMaps Episode 14 was released where I looked at Sub Zero, a remake of the map Chill Out from Halo CE nad its previous remake from Halo 3, Cold Storage. This map is very similar to its predecessors in terms of structure and layout, but it does have different weapons and now has armour abilities due to Halo 4’s play style. The map was quite a challenge to build as the amount of rooms and different shapes meant that I was strained with forge pieces and I ran out of most of the walls and flat blocks. I ended uo using so many pieces, that Halo 4’s dynamic lighting system no longer works. However I am happy with the maps outcome and it still performs as well as the originals.

Later in the week, I continued Halo 3 with the level Floodgate. After Truth activated the portal and went through, another mysterious Covenant ship slipped in and crashed in Voi. Chief and the Arbiter soon find out that the ship carried the Flood and after them followed the Fleet of Retribution, a Covenant separatist fleet and allies to the Arbiter. They reveal that the Covenant Holy City, High Charity has fallen to the Flood and one ship breached their perimeter and headed to Earth. Chief, Arbiter and the Elites fight through Voi taking out all the Flood they find. Once they come near the ship. Johnson informs Chief that Cortana is on the ship and Chief must get her out. The group heads to the crash site and after taking out all the nearby Flood, Chief heads inside the ship. Once inside he finds Cortana module, however, he is then greeted by a familiar, yet hostile face. 343 Guilty Spark has survived and now claims his only purpose is to help Chief. Spark and the Chief head to the separatist carrier, Shadow of Intent, where Spark finds that it is only a message and not Cortana herself. The message tells them that the High Charity is on its way to Earth with a Flood army and says that there is a solution to rid them of the Flood. The message ends and Lord Hood argues with the commander of the Shadow of Intent, Rtas Vadum, as his efforts to stop the Flood are very destructive which aggravates Hood. However, he reluctantly agrees to let Miranda and the Elites go through the portal while he stays to defend Earth. The UNSC takes 2 Frigates and the Separatists have their fleet. The 2 sides prepare and head through the portal while Hood heads back to the surface.

Also at the end of the week, Jamie and I continued our adventure in the treachery of Toes with Episode 6 of our adventure. This time I finally decide to come above ground and build a house of my own and make significant progress, quite the opposite of Jamie, who slowly continues to develop his own home.

Next week there are more videos to come!

On Monday, the next level of Halo 2’s campaign, Metropolis, will be uploaded. In this mission Master Chief must continue his search for the Prophet, however, there is a Covenant Scarab in his way. Chief must fight through the Covenant infested city and try to destroy the Scarab and make it to the Prophets carrier. On Tuesday, since the Halo 4 playthrough is finished, I need something to fill the gap. I have decided to fill it with either and various video (Machinima, gameplay, trick) or a special feature on the site as I have started making Operation: Coastline again and every week I may put an update or clip on the site showing my progress on the episode I am working on. I am thinking that will be best for this Tuesday and I will tell you about the following Tuesdays in these updates every week. Mid-week, episode 15 of VPMaps will be out. This time, looking at another remake, this time of the map Wizard from Halo CE and Warlock from Halo 2. A lso The level, The Ark, of Halo 3’s campaign will be uploaded, where the UNSC and Elites investigate what is ont the other site of the portal. And as usual the dynamic duo challenging the world of Toes, will grace your screens and the end of the week as well.

On another note I uploaded my 150th video this week, so thank you to all my subscribers and my viewers. I hope to hit 200 videos and will see many more after.

Thank you for listening and don’t forget to subscribefollow,  like and visit the site for more!

Hello folks!

Welcome to another recap of the passed week.

This week brought the usual batch of videos, however, at the beginning of the week, due to the lack of Spartan Ops and the new map videos in last weeks Monday slot, this meant I had to make something new for Mondays. So, this Monday marked the beginning of a new feature to my channel in the form of a campaign play through, only this time it is in the legendary Halo title, Halo 2.

This week started with the first mission, Cairo Station and the cut-scenes and tutorial with preceded it. At the start of Halo 2 in the Covenant Holy City, High Charity, amidst of the wreckage of Halo Installation 04, several prophets question an Elite Commander on how he let the Halo ring be destroyed and is branded a heretic for failing to protect it. Elsewhere in the galaxy, on a UNSC MAC weapons platform Master Chief has been given upgraded armour and tests its capabilities before he and Sgt Johnson head to their reward ceremony for their actions on Halo. Just as the medals are given, Cortana reports that a Covenant fleet has arrived in the solar system and begins the attack Earth and the Station. Master Chief and the Marines on board must defend the station at all costs, while the daughter of Jacob Keyes, Miranda, must pilot her ship and prepare to assault the enemy ships.

The next video came in the form of the Epilogue of Halo 4 where Master Chief is rescued from the wreckage of the Didacts ship and taken back to Infinity, where he and Lasky have a talk about Earth and Chiefs loss. The aftermath of the Didacts attack is seen in the city of New Phoenix and Chief heads a Spartan armouring station to take off his armour for the first time in the Halo series.

Mid-week, as per usual, the next episode of VPMaps was released which took a look at the remake of an earlier VPMap, Sentinel. If you watch the series you may remember that the map is small and symmetrical with lots of cover and structures, making the map host to many different zones where encounters can be, without someone interfering from the other side of the map. Little has changed in the Halo 4 counterpart, similarly named Sentry, the is only some minor differences. Due to Halo 4’s new forge some forge peices from Reach had to be exchanged, as they are no longer in the game. The same can be said for weapons as guns like the Spiker and the Needle Rifle are not present in Halo 4, other weapons had to substitute for them.

Towards the end of the week, I continued my Halo 3 Campaign play through with the level, The Storm. In this mission, Master Chief has escaped Crows Nest and arrived in Voi. Now with other UNSC forces, he must push through the Covenant lines and destroy several anti-air targets in the form of Fuel Rod Wraiths and huge plasma cannons, so that Lord Hood can strike the Prophet of Truth with and aerial assault in a counter attack against the Covenant.

Also at the end of the week, it was Minecraft’s time to shine as Jamie and I voyaged once more into the world of Toes in, Minecraft: The Legend of Toes: Episode 5. In this episode, we both gather materials mainly so Jamie can finally finish off parts of his house and I take a trip round the Island of Toes in a boat and make some discoveries. Jamie on the other hand, finishes his ground floor and can finally sleep in safety, but he insists on making another floor to his house, while I spruce up the ol’ homestead with a painting.

That was last week, now onto the next!

On Monday I will be continuing will my Halo 2 play through with the level Outskirts, where Chief and other marines must land in Old Mombasa and round up the surviving marines, so that they can clear any hostiles from the city. As for Halo 4’s campaign slot, I have something new in the works, but I will talk about that later on in the week. In the middle of the week VPMaps episode 14 will be out, looking at the map Sub Zero which is a remake of the Halo CE map Chill Out and the Halo 3 map Cold Storage. It is very true to the original, however it was an absolute pain in the bum to build and I ended up using so many forge pieces that the dynamic lighting no longer works… But I will release it nevertheless so you can have a look. Later in the week, I will continue with Halo 3 and the level Floodgate, where the parasitic Flood have crashed on earth and is starting to infect the local area. Episode 6 of The Legend of Toes will also be released, where the Toes Islanders continue their adventure.

So that’s all from me this week!

I will see you later and don’t forget to subscribefollow,  like and visit the site for more!

What’s up, guys!

Welcome to another weekly update.

This week played host to an array of Halo news, as well as videos. The Halo 4 file share system was launched meaning that files from Halo 4 can now be shared and downloaded. You can read more about it here. Also, on Monday, the Majestic map pack brought three new multiplayer maps to Halo 4. Halo Waypoint and IGN put out some content on these maps and so did I, which brings us to this past weeks videos.

Early in the week, I uploaded 3 map flythroughs of the Majestic maps; Landfall, Skyline and Monolith. In my opinion I think these maps are some of the best that Halo 4 has so far. Their size and feel really bring back the memories of classic Halo multiplayer, so well done to 343 and Certain Affinity.

Also, early in the week, my Halo 4 Campaign play through has nearly come to an end as the final mission of Halo 4, Midnight, was uploaded. In the climax of Halo 4, Chief and Cortana must board the Didacts ship and stop him using the Composer and neutralise the threat to Humanity.

Mid week, the 12th episode of VPMaps launched showcasing the map Recourse. This is an asymmetrical map where each team has different equipment to combat the other, in the form of vehicle and power weapons. The map is loosely based on the map Last Resort from Halo 3 as one team has vehicles to play with while the other team has a chance to counter them with power weapons, however each team has an equal chance to grab the weapons in the centre. Also now that the file share is working, I have added links the the Halo 4 episodes so you can now download the maps featured in the episodes and will continue to do so for future episodes.

More campaign talk now, as I continued my play through Halo 3 with the 3rd level of Halo 3’s campaign, Tsavo Highway. In one of my favourite Halo 3 levels, Chief must retreat from the destroyed Crows Nest with the remaining Marine survivors. They mount up and roll out across the savannah and wreckage of what was once the outskirts of New and Old Mombasa. Fighting past packs of Brutes and lances of Jackals and Grunts, Chief must try and rendezvous with the UNSC in Voi, while the Covenant throws as many Choppers and Wraiths as the can to try and stop him.

Later in the week, things turned pixelated and blocky as Jamie and I continued our adventure in the world of Toes. Episode 4 was released this week, where Jamie tells of how to run away from a bear and finally gets a roof over his head, while Owen just sits back and wonders if Jamie will live through the night or will has stupidity result in a kiss with a Creeper…

That’s all of this week, now onto the next.

As Spartan Ops is finished and there is no more new Halo content coming, on Monday I will begin another play through of another Halo title and it will be none other than the critically acclaimed Halo 2. The first bit of Halo 2’s campaign will be uploaded and I continue with another level every week. The Epilogue of Halo 4’s campaign wasn’t launched alongside Midnight last week due to technical issues to I will upload it on Tuesday as usual with Halo 4’s campaign. Mid week, the 13th episode of VPMaps will be released looking at the map, Sentry. This a small symmetrical map and is a remake of one of my previous maps, Sentinel. Halo 3’s campaign will also continue with the 4th mission, The Storm, where Master Chief must take out some Covenant armour to allow for a UNSC counter attack. At the end of the week as usual Episode 5 of the Legend of Toes will be released and we will see what Jamie and I get up too after this weeks episode.

So until next week, I will see you later and don’t forget to subscribefollow,  like and visit the site for more!

Weekly Update #9 (24/02/13)

Hello everyone!

Welcome to another update.

This week the amount of videos that were released was plentiful. At the beginning of the week the cinematic episode of Spartan Ops episode 10 was released. This episode was a 2 part cinematic, the first, titled Exodus, was shorter than a normal however it did not fail to deliver. In the first part, Jul Mdama, believing he has the Key takes the wounded Halsey and evacuates Requiem, but not before he initiates a command which alters the shield worlds orbit to pass into the nearby star, thus destroying it. Meanwhile on the Infinity, Lasky must find away to detach the Infinity from Requiems orbit and must deactivate 3 Forerunner devices. One is already in there possession, so Palmer, Majestic and Crimson must deactivate the remaining devices before Requiem is destroyed. In the 2nd part entitled, Epilogue, crimson and Majestic complete there objects and quickly speed back to Infinity where the massive vessel narrowly escapes the exploding star. Jul finds out that he needs both parts of the Key for it to work and Halsey will help him in turn for revenge on the UNSC for attempting to assassinate her and the story ends leaving us in the dark for what might come in next season or Halo 5.

Next, I uploaded the continuation of my Halo 4 play through with the level Composer, the 7th level of Halo 4’s campaign. In this level Master Chief, having stowed away aboard a Covenant Lich, follows the Didact to Halo Installation 03 where the Didact seeks a Forerunner weapon known as the Composer. Chief must try to stop the Didact while dealing with his rampant AI, Cortana.

In the middle of the week, episode 11th episode of VPMaps was released, this time the map Keystone was featured. Keystone is a symmetrical, small map with 3 levels and side platforms so that there are many options for combat situations and positions of fire.

Later in the week, I continued with my Halo 3 play through with the 2nd level of Halo 3, Crows Nest, where  Master Chief, the Arbiter and other marines must defend the UNSC base, Crows Nest, while a bomb is prepared for detonation and the base is evacuated.

Ans finally Episode 3 of my Minecraft series, The Legend of Toes was released. In this episode Owen finds materials and goes for the safe option, while Jamie works on his house while singing Disney songs and insists on Owen’s help with no avail. The pair then ascend the mountain of Toes and get a nice view of their island home.

In terms of next weeks videos, seeing as there is no more Spartan Ops I will be doing a fly through of all of the Majestic map pack maps, which include Skyline, Monolith and Landfall. After that the last level of Halo 4’s campaign, Midnight, will be released and VPMaps episode 12 featuring the asymmetrical, medium sized map, Recourse, will also be released. My Halo 3 play through will continue with the 3rd level, Tsavo Highway. Episode 4 of The Legend of Toes will also be released.
